
Pritish Kumar Acharya
Research Analyst
Pritish has joined The Council as a Research Analyst with the Water team. His work focuses on policy coherence in the water-energy-food nexus, specifically looking at sectoral interlinkages, systems analysis, and governance frameworks.
Prior to joining The Council, Pritish worked with Chintan Research Foundation (CRF) as a Research Intern in the Centre for Climate Change and Energy Transition. At CRF, his work focused on the broader area of climate finance and climate negotiations, particularly looking at the Loss and Damage (L&D) Fund. Earlier, he worked as a Summer Intern at Odisha Coal and Power Limited (OCPL), focusing on waste-to-energy mechanisms, including green coal and RDF, and Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys (IMFA), getting an exposure to the ferrochrome sector in Odisha.
Pritish has completed his graduation in B.A. Economics (Honours) from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, and post-graduation in M.Sc. Economics (Specialisation in Environmental and Resource Economics) from TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi. Beyond work, he loves watching movies and web series, following cricket, and exploring food places. He also finds peace in spiritual practice and takes a keen interest in learning photography to become better at it.
