Trisha Ravindranath
Research Analyst
Trisha has joined The Council as a Research Analyst with the Sustainable Water team. Her work focuses on advancing circular economy approaches in the water sector, particularly focusing on treated wastewater and urban flood resilience. She contributes to research that strengthens the integration of sustainable water management practices in Indian cities through evidence-based policy and planning.
Prior to joining The Council, Trisha was awarded the Wipro-Earthian Fellowship, where she worked on the ‘Million Wells for Bengaluru’ project, exploring community-led groundwater recharge initiatives. She also won the Sustainovation Business Challenge, organised by Tata Cleantech Capital, for developing an app-based solution to strengthen EV charging infrastructure in India.
Trisha holds a Master’s degree in Climate Science and Policy from TERI School of Advanced Studies, and her academic work has focused on urban water systems, nature-based solutions, and resilience planning.
Outside of work, she can often be found trying to get back to playing her ukulele, baking (but mostly burning) a cake, fighting to be the dungeon master in a game of Dungeons & Dragons or getting lost in a good book. She’s endlessly fascinated by and can discuss how biomimicry helped solve the noise problem of Japan’s Shinkansen, and believes nature’s ingenuity holds the key to solving today's challenges. She’s also learning Japanese, perhaps to read about it in the original.
