Sanjita Singha
Research Analyst
Sanjita has joined The Council as a Research Analyst with the Powering Livelihoods team. Her work focuses on unlocking affordable finance for decentralised renewable energy technologies. In addition, she plays a cross-functional role, supporting the team’s communications and outreach initiatives for Powering Livelihoods and enterprise engagement efforts.
Prior to joining The Council, Sanjita completed her postgraduate degree in Sustainable Development Practice from TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Miranda House, University of Delhi. Before transitioning into the role of Research Analyst, she worked as an Intern with the Powering Livelihoods team for five months. In her past internships, she has gained practical experience by working in SELCO Foundation and Tarutium Global Consulting, contributing to grassroots research, community assessments, and knowledge creation in the domains of DRE (Decentralised Renewable Energy) and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene). These experiences have shaped her approach to evidence-based policy and inclusive development.
Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, she takes pride in being a professionally trained badminton player, a passionate folk dancer, and a visual artist. Creativity grounds her personality, whether on canvas or in the kitchen, where cooking serves as her personal therapy and a medium for expression. A self-proclaimed movie and anime aficionado, she can rewatch her favourites countless times with the same excitement. Music is her constant companion - no workday begins without her headphones plugged in and a playlist setting the rhythm for the day.
