Malavika Ranjan

Engagement Associate

Malavika has joined The Council as an Engagement Associate, managing donor engagement. Her work focuses on reporting to the donors and aligning internal research work to meet donor expectations.

Prior to joining The Council, Malavika worked at India’s national investment promotion and facilitation agency- Invest India, where she facilitated investment and trade from 8 European countries to India by hand-holding them through India market entry related business decisions, government consultations, issue resolution and diplomatic exchanges. A majority of Malavika’s experience has been with clean energy and technology companies.

Malavika holds an Integrated Masters in Development Studies from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. She was also awarded the French government’s Charpak Exchange Scholarship to pursue International Affairs and Project Management from Sciences Po, Paris. During her Masters, Malavika engaged with University of Montreal (Canada), Graduate Institute of Geneva (Switzerland), Centre for Advanced Studies in Policy Research (India) in policy research capacity. Malavika has also interned with the Reliance Foundation, Niti Aayog and Greenpeace in Project Management roles.

An extrovert at heart- Malavika is always up for a game of any racquet sport- especially Squash and Tennis. She is also an avid solo-traveller and someone who never says no for a day out in Delhi or any exploratory activity whatsoever.
