
Prateek Aggarwal
Programme Lead
Prateek Aggarwal is a Programme Lead at the Council, working on key issues shaping India’s power sector. With over 12 years of experience, he works on power market design, regulatory reforms, and clean energy procurement, with a strong focus on sustainability and translating policy into on-ground implementation. His work focuses on strengthening distribution utility performance and deepening competitive power markets. At CEEW, he leads initiative to enable commercial and industrial consumers to access clean energy at scale.
At the Council, he is known for working effectively across stakeholders and for turning complex policy ideas into practical solutions. He works closely with central institutions such as the CERC, the CEA, and ministries including MoP and MNRE. He also collaborates with regulators, utilities, developers, and industry bodies across states to support the design and rollout of sector reforms.
Before joining CEEW, Prateek was a Senior Consultant at the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission, where he worked on tariff design, strengthning regulatory processes, and state level reforms.
He holds a B.Tech in Power System Engineering and an MBA in Power Management from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. Outside of work, he spends time with FnF, reading, and embracing solitude for self-awareness.
