Ishaan has joined The Council as a Consultant in the Industry Sustainability team. His work focuses on advancing decarbonisation pathways for industry, with an emphasis on operational efficiency, clean energy adoption, and data-driven strategies for emissions reduction.

Prior to joining The Council, Ishaan worked in the wind energy sector on performance analysis and control of wind farms. His work included forecasting, lifetime extension, and applying analytics on SCADA and weather data to optimise asset performance. He has contributed as a wind energy expert to multiple EU Horizon 2020 and US DOE-funded research projects. Ishaan holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven, Belgium, with a focus on wind energy systems, and has published in leading peer reviewed energy journals. He also holds a masters in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal University. 

Outside of work, Ishaan plays squash, enjoys reading and hiking, and practices astrophotography, with a focus on solar and lunar eclipses.
