Aadya is a Consultant with the Clean Air team at The Council. Her work focuses on industrial emissions, strengthening industrial compliance, improving Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems in India, and advancing cleaner practices among MSMEs. She brings an interdisciplinary approach that blends pollution science with policy and governance.

Before joining The Council, Aadya prepared for the Civil Services Examination, which deepened her understanding of public systems and governance. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Lady Shri Ram College for Women and a master’s in Urban Policy and Governance from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

Outside of work, Aadya loves exploring cities on foot through their histories, architecture and monuments, often drawing connections between the evolution of urban spaces and the lived experiences of their residents. She finds creative expression in painting and sketching, which allows her to observe the world more closely and interpret it visually. An avid sports enthusiast, she also enjoys playing basketball and doing yoga, which helps her balance focus and energy in her professional and personal life.
